Joseph started New Paths Forward in 2015 as a mental health therapist.  After years of providing counseling for patients and with growing concern over the lack of options for his clients to be prescribed medication, he decided to go back to school to learn psychiatric medicine at Yale.  He has reestablished New Paths Forward as a place to provide affordable, compassionate, holistic, and accessible care to individuals and families.  He prescribes psychiatric medicine crafted to your individual needs, while providing therapy involved in every









Riley Mello

LCSW

Clinical Therapist



Riley specializes in trauma therapy, specifically EMDR for reprocessing traumatic thoughts and feelings.  He also specializes in working with children and with parents navigating the emotional challenges that can arise through their parenting journeys. Therapy with Riley is highly collaborative and paced depending on your individual needs.  Riley works to break generational cycles of difficulties, manage anxiety, or find relief from emotional numbness or reactivity. He focuses on healing, coping, and creating safe space.














Natalia Zabatta

Chief Operating Officer


Natalia offers a wealth of administrative and leadership experience, having expertly directed administrations and organized companies.  She brings enhanced structure, corporate compliance, and foundational support to New Paths Forward to ensure excellent patient outcomes behind the scenes of therapy.
